Happy Morning to all of you!
Morning`s in our house usually come way way to soon, as my husband can confirm. I however usually get a couple extra minutes of shut eye, depending on the day. Some days we wake up at 6am some days 9am... I'm still trying to figure out the factors contributing to the 9am wake up calls, but alas I have yet to determine any specific similarities with these later morning wake ups.
Today it was a 7am wake up which I am directly relating to my husband's attempts to be quiet while getting ready for work this morning... I understand that 7am is pretty good, however trying to convince yourself that when your toddler is screaming ``DADADA!`` in the baby monitor as you squeeze your eyes together is difficult. (side note- William will scream ``dada`` approx 4 times before he will switch to ``mama``- A fact that i currently exploit! ``he wants you hunny``.)
Anyway up I get to bring the happy baby down stairs from his crib, I am quickly informed to get the banana or ``nana`` and ``car`` two necessities for any 20month old. My futile attempts to squeeze in a couple more minutes of pillow time include the coveted banana and milk cup with ``DORA`` in my bed. Some days this works today it did not. One banana downed in minutes and demanding a second. No sleep for momma!
As I have a bad habit of making life easier especially in the ``early morning`` i have gotten my toddler in to a bad habit... Yes most people only get breakfast in bed on mothers day, my son has turned this luxury into an almost daily occurrence. I use the towel to keep my sheets relatively free of cereal and the cartoons to give me a couple minutes to enter the land of the living.
These truly are the good days, and they go by way to fast, however i have to wonder if my ``spoiled toddler`` will ever realize how lucky he is to have such a ``nice`` mommy to deliver breakfast in bed with a daily dose of DORA.
